Hi,
I got a problem about DIAdem today. In order to run a Labview executable program in a PC, I install Labview runtime engine 8.6 into that computer, after that the DIAdem installed in that PC which works fine originally got a problem, every time I start DIAdem, it always quit automatically shortly after (no more than 60 seconds), even I do nothing after start DIAdem. I have uninstalled the Labview runtime engine, but does not work.
Anybody have an idea of this problem ?
OS in the PC is Windows 2000, DIAdem vision 9.10 with DAC bundle
Best regards

Hi Somewei,
The DIAdem R&D team has been looking into this issue you've reported and discovered the following
- The cause of the problem is an incompatibility between MAX 4.3 and newer versions with DIAdem (DAC) versions older than 10.2.
- Prior to LabVIEW 8.6 customers could work around this problem by installing an older MAX version
- LabVIEW 8.6.0 installs with MAX version 4.5 and can only work with this MAX version, so the previous workaround is no longer an option
R&D is testing an alternative solution and will get back to us soon with their results. Note in the interim that upgrading DIAdem to 10.2 or later would also solve the problem.

Hello Brad and Walter.
The DIAdem has been recovered after a reinstallation, of course firstly I uninstalled the Labview runtime engine 8.6.
Still I want to run my Labview program on that PC, and I do not think I have enough evidence to persuade my company to update the DIAdem which run excellently so far to a high vision.
I will contact your later Mr. Walter, I can not open the "Dataplugin web page" here in my company office, maybe it is blocked by the company fire wall, I will try later from my home.
Thank you all for your help.
Best regards
