Everybody is talking about cost reduction. Therefore it’s necessary to reduce as much as possible the manual programming. With programs like Unicam or Aegis is better to use an edf, gencad or ODB++ export. In these kinds of export information about traces is also included. For SMT we use these information for our SMT stencil design. The use of these kinds of export instead of centroid means less manual programming (costs).
Now days the interfacing between software must better than in the past.
Why has Ultiboard skipped this option?? Why not an ODB++ export possibility?

I have also requested support for viewing or exporting GenCad files. With automated test equipment, it saves a lot of time using or having access to a standard file such as GenCad. We use it daily at work and have been using it for at least 5 years.
So, please also put me on your list of people requesting that the GenCad format be supported.

I agree with "variass". Ultiboard is an exception to general practice to only have centroid export for assembly.
Unfortunatly it takes Ultiboard a lot of time to come up with a solution

Add me to the list for ODB++ export. I just ran into a customer asking for that.

It's bad that we still do not have it avaliable in Ultiboard 11.0, Very bad software investment.
