Re : max cable length

hi to all,

   in my application i need to communicate with canopen encoder...The communication between encoder and hardware will  take more than 40 meters...

 the baudrate which encoder supporting is 50kb/s....while i am trying to increase the cable length more than 1 metre, communication is not there between encoder....i am waiting for our sincere reply

At this low baudrate, the cable length can't be the problem.

• Are you using a cable that meets the ISO 11898 specifications ?
• What's about the termination resistors ?
