JackScrew for 68-pin connector and 100-pin connector

Hi,

For a custom PCB board, I purchased a 68-pin board mounting connector for Multi-DAQ PXI-6225 and a 100-pin board mounting connector for Static Digital PXI-6508. Both of the two connectors are 0.050 D-Shape Right Angle PWB-Mount Connector. (The 68-pin connector is NOT the VHDCI connector).  I followed the KnowledgeBase and bought them from AMP.

However, I realized that none of them has JackScrew together with it. Could anybody tell me where to buy the corresponding JackScrews?

I ordered "Item 187949-10, 10 PIECE JACKSCREW KIT FOR CONNECTING SCREW-LATCHING CABLES" from NI. Unfortunately it looks like they are for the VHDCI connector, not for D-shape connectors.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Jing,

I want to clarify exactly what your trying to find.  Take a look here.  It sounds like you're looking for the jackscrews on each side of the cable (specifcally the blue end).  Is this true or are you looking for the receptor for these screws?  If you're looking for the actual jackscrews, they are currently not in our part catalog.  You may need to call in to our technical sales team if you have a special request for these jackscrews.  In addition, I also wanted to make sure that the KB you are referring to is the one found here.  Please let me know if this is not what you're looking for.

Thanks,
Paul C.

Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes, I am using SHC68-68-EPM cable to connect PXI-6225. I have the VHDCI connector and the corresponding jackscrews (Silver end). I am looking for the receptor for the blue end. Base on the same KB in your post, I bought 777600-01 from AMP. Unfortunately the connector does not come with jackscrews included.

Here is my question:

1. If I directly order 777600-01 from NI, will the connector have jackscrews included?

2. If it does not, any recommendation where I can find them? //I asked AMP, and they said they don't have that either!

Similarly for the 100-pin connector 777778-01, I purchased from AMP, and the connectors don't have jackscrews either. The jackscrews AMP recommended me don't fit!

3. Again, if I directly order 777778-01 from NI, will the jackscres be included in the package?

Thanks a lot!

Jing

Hi Jing,

1.  The 777600-01 comes with two Jacksockets.  These are the receptors for the two jackscrews that come attached to the blue end of our m-series cables.

2.  I would highly recommend calling in to our technical sales team.  They might be able to get you the jacksockets you're looking for without you having to purchase the entire connector again.

3. The 777778-01 comes with two standoffs which function as the jacksocket you're looking for.  Once again, I would highly recommend calling into our technical sales team.  You can get in touch with the technical sales representative for your area by dialing 1-866-275-6964.

I hope this helps,
Paul C.
