Error -50103 with global virtual channel and DSC

I have 2 USB-6210 DAQ devices that I am using in a DSC application.  I have configured a bunch of global virtual channels, but no tasks.  I have bound shared variables to these channels, and enabled logging.  That all appears to work OK in my application, but I am having a problem reading the analog inputs.  I will start another thread for that.  I wanted to go into MAX and run test panels, but I kept getting error -50102, "the specified source is reserved".  I get this error even with Labview shut down.  I believe that is because the Citadel engine is still running and logging the variables.  How can I get MAX to control these devices again?

Hi Brian,

The first thing I would try is to reset the device.  I am giong to assume you tried that though.  You could also run the shared variable manager and stop the shared variable engine.

I am going to get some more information about what DSC might be doing when you end the execution, and see if I can find some other possible solutions.  Let me know if either of those steps resulted in any different behavior.

Have a great day,

Stopping the Shared Variable Engine allowed MAX to have full control of the board.
