Vision & Imaq 1394 modules for Labview 8

Does anyone know when the versions of the toolkits Vision and IMAQ 1934 will be released for Labview 8

Hi Loranger,

you can use the Imaq Vision 7.1.1 and the Imaq-1394 Version which are released right now with LabVIEW 8. You have to reinstall the Toolkit and the driver and click support for newest version in installer.

After installation you will recognize that you have now Vision-VI´s in LabVIEW, this comes from some wrong pathes in the installation progress. The attached Tool places the files in the right directory.

I heard that Vision 8.0 will be released in early 2006, but I didn´t found an exact date.

Thank you for the support and the advices; I already manually copied the different files concerning Imaq Vision and Imaq 1394 in order to have the vision support under Labview 8

Its rather simple, just copy a few files

- c:\program files\National Instruments\Labview 7.1\vi.lib\vision\*.* --> c:\program files\National Instruments\Labview 8.0\vi.lib\vision\*.*
when prompted if you want to overwrite, just reply no

- copy the files extracted from the attached zip file to c:\program files\National Instruments\Labview 8.0\menus\Categories\VisionMotion

Normally the vi should be in the visionmotion palette once you restart labview 8
