I don't care how many times you sat it, there IS a wrong way to DISPLAY 16 bit data and YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!!
There is absolutley no reason that anyone would EVER want to see signed data on a monitor. Sure, save the images to disk in signed format for many reason but when you are sending it to a display THERE IS ONLY ONE RIGHT WAY AND THAT IS TO SEND UNSIGNED DATA.
That begin said please tell the good folks in charge to fix what is an OBVIOUS BUG and stop rationalizing their mistakes / laziness.
We need to view 16-bit data unsigned. Why is that so hard for you guys to understand!!!
