Watershed Transform --> Mask --> Particle Separation

Hello:

 

I'm looking at the  2005 Vision Concepts Manual, fig. 8-8 on pg. 8-18. The last two blocks of the flowchart show a watershed transform followed by superposition of the watershed lines on the source image to separate the particles.  Prior to my own experimentation, does anyone know the exact step(s) used to perform the superposition leading to the final image with particle separation?

 

 

As an aside, the Morphological Segmentation Example.vi included with Vision seems to stop just short of completing these steps.

Working from the Morphological Segmentation Example.vi, here is what I ended up doing to 'complete' the example and obtain particle segmentation:
