VBAI 3.0.1 takes 7 minutes to start

Hi,

based on the suggestion to solve my other problem with CVS and VBAI 3.0.0 and FTP data logging I have updated the VBAI to the lates 3.0.1 version. I am unfortunately experiencing problems with the new version. When I launch the VBAI, it stays for about 7 minutes without response. After that the VBAI suddenly starts the initialization process and everything contiues without any problems. I had the 3.0.1 version installed already 2 weeks ago, but uninstalled it for the same reason. It still behaves the same for me...

Anybody has any clue what to do?

When you say it takes 7 minutes for VBAI to start, do you mean it sits at the splash screen for 7 minutes and then it continues normally?  Do you have a startup application configured?  Could you send your VBAI.ini file.  Here is mine if you want to try it and see if this fixes your problem.  There might be some TCP, Modbuus Server that is trying to start by default and eventually times out.  My ini doesn't have any modbus/TCP devices listed, so see if this fixes your problem.

Was there ever resolution on this issue?  My VBAI V3.00 takes a very long time to startup as well.  It sits on the splash screen for a few minutes before allowing me to pick a target.  I tried Brad's VisionBuilder.ini file and that did not seem to help.

I think Martin's problem is closely related to this issue http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=13164. However that one is not resolved yet either. But it's being worked on .
