Bug in Open Object or Image border size

Open Object doesn't work properly with a 7x7 structuring element. 

This is demonstrated in the attached vi.

The behaviour in Vision Assistant is different : the bug appears upon exit of the configuration mode.

A provisional workaround in LabVIEW is to increase the image border size to 4. Of course, this doesn't work in Vision Assistant...

Reducing the image size also solves the problem.

Actually Romain told me that this bug was already reported via the section of the forum which was especially created for LabVIEW 8.6 bugs. Is it right ?

Does any NI Engineer have been aware of this bug except Romain DUVAL ?

I am going to get more informations about that, and I will create the Corrective Action Request if this is not already done.

The bug was reported in the BreakPoint board dedicated to bug reports. However, I've not heared about any CAR, and the known issues in LV 8.6 do not list this bug as a problem. Except Romain, no other AE has been involved in the discussion.

To answer to your question about bug reports, in fact each Application Engineer has a database in which they receive service requests that are forum posts, e-mail support, phone support...For forum posts, there is a detection of your language in your Internet Browser or proxy (I don't know exactly) which can tell us from which country the user is posting, that's why we receive your service requests in France.
