Before we can make suggestions, we could use a bit more information:

  1. Field of study are you in - biology, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, &c.  Be as specific as you can (e.g. laser cooling of charged plasmas).
  2. How long do you have to complete the work?
  3. How familiar are you with LabVIEW?
I would also suggest you check out Genrich Altshuller's innovation methods.  They are invaluable for anyone in a science or engineering field.

That still tells us nothing. You need to narrow down your interest. Perhaps it would be best if you spent some time considering what it is that you want to do. You may also want to spend some time looking over the material in NI's Academic section of the web site to see if they can suggest some ideas to you.

jeshu,

You seem to be all over the place this morning.  See this post http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=444180

I would suggest that you find a project that is interesting to you, regardless of if it required LabVIEW.  Do something you like and learn from it.  If it does include LabVIEW, then all the better.  But don't try to force a project by the tools.  It would be like designing a car based on the tools in your toolbox and not as per the usual requirements (qty of wheels, motor, chassis, seats, interface, breaking system, transmission, etc).

To learn more about LabVIEW it is recommended that you go through the tutorial(s) and look over the material in the NI Developer Zone's Learning Center which provides links to other materials and other tutorials. You can also take the online courses for free.
