RichTextBox warning

Everytime I use a RichTextBox (either from the front panal palette .NET and ActiveX, or a constructor node on the block diagram) I get the following warning. This warning also pops up eveytime I save the file, move or resize the box, or add any ActiveX nodes that interact with the RichTextBox. It doesn't cause any errors, but is quite annonying. Anyone know why this is happening?

Did you copy / paste your code from one directory to another?

Have you tried a Mass Compile to get rid of the warning.  It looks like the type of warning when you do a Mass Compile...  😉  Which usually resolves the problem...

If you did Copy / Paste a backup copy, try zipping it first.  It seems to want to find it from another location.  Also look at your search paths, you may be pointing to an unwanted folder.

This is a new project, i even opened a blank VI and put a RichTextBox down and got the same warning. Just mass compiled my working directory with the files in, mass compiled LV 8.5, rebooted, and Im still getting the warning. Maybe Ill put 8.5.1 on here and see if that helps.

You are not alone...

I repeated your steps and get the same thing..

The only thing on my Front Panel is the RichTextBox.  Looks like it may be a bug..  Please let us know if it is there with LV8.5.1.

Thanks

Just tried it on my laptop that has 8.5.1 and did not get any warnings no matter how hard I tried. However that machine has Vista as well so wether it's vista or 8.5.1 im not sure. However I doubt it's vista. That OS has gotten very few things right... 😕

This is a known issue with 8.5. (regardless of OS) I use the RTB alot because it has the built in scroll bars that scroll with the mouse wheel. However I can asure you that it is fixed in 8.5.1 in both XP and crapvista.
