Tidy code and UI
I always like seeing apps using LVOOP as I am considering using them myself, but still cannot really see the benefits over an Action Engine.

As you can see, I use both LVOOP and Action Engine (Queued State Machine) in my project(s).
I don't compare they different things for programming.
If you mean the Functional Globals as Action Engine, than it's different thing to LVOOP too.
Of course you can combine all of Design Patterns for optimal programming.

I do mean Functional Global as Action Engine.
Without using any of the main concepts of OO (like inheritance etc) then I prefer Action Engines (probably as these are what I am most familiar with).
You are right though, the optimal design would take the best bits of everything and use them.
