application builder error 26026

I got the error 26026 while making an application via application builder (LabView 7.1, Applicationbuilder 7.1, WinXP Prof. on Acer Travelmate Notebook).

The complete error description is: Fehler 26026 ist bei Build Application.vi >> Dist Call Create Installer.vi >> Win Install Create.vi >> MSI DK Set Properties.vi
 aufgetreten. Mögliche Gründe: NMDK_SP_BAD_DIRECTORY_PATH

There ist another thread with the error 26026, but on LabWindows/CVI http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=180&message.id=32044&query.id=99820#M32044

In this thread it is recommented to change some environment variables.

So I changed the %Temp% and %TMP% variable to c:\Temp and c:\TMP, but the error is still the same.

Are there some other advices for help?

Thanks for help!

Hy Dominik,

I think you are on the right way and I also found the informations in your link. But moreover I found a Knowledge Base which could be intersting for you. I know that the error number is different to yours, but in other cases which were very similar to yours the problem could be solved.

Please try it and let me know if it works. Thanks for that.

Best wishes

Hi Jan,

after Your reply I checked my installation directory names. And there I found my stupid mistake:

I want to have the standard installation sub directory LabView\ApplicationName. So the program menu is easier, because all my LabView-programs can be found under program - labview.

And I wrote labview/applicationname instead of labview\applicationname.

So if anyone has this failure please check that you use the backslash \ and not the slash / to separate sub-directories.

Thanks to Jan for this helpful link!
