Cannot control plot legend vert size

I am trying to manually set the verticle size of the plot legend on a graph control with multiple plots so the individual plot representations line up with selection buttons on another control.  If I select the text in one of the legend names and change the font size, the text changes but the verticle size of the legend does not.  This is independent of whether or not the "autosize legend" option is selected, which seems limited to horizontal sizing.  I can increase the verticle size if I put the text cursor in the plot name box but do not select any characters in the box and increase font size.  However nothing I do will reduce the size, and increases in apparent font size in this manner will usually lapse a few seconds later, though the verticle size remains.  Am really missing something here?

You are right, the legend Y size can be increased by increasing the font size, but there is no way to decrease it afterward. Even the size increase process is not "clean". Apparently, you have found a LV 7.x bug, already known by NI programmers since in LV 8.0 the problem has been corrected.

I'm sorry but I could not find a workaround to this problem.

Thanks for the validation - just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something obvious.  I've always tried to keep up with upgrades but have been stuck in 7.0 for too long.  TIme to get off the dime, I guess -
