Can we integrate an Aocustic emission sensor with DAQ directly ?

I am totaly new in this field, i would like to use an acoustic emission sensor to monitor the vibration, but i am not sure if i can connect the sensor directly to the CB-68LP board then to my DAQ.

It depends on what the output of the sensor is, what type of input it is designed to work with (Hi or Lo Z) what its voltage range is, the frequency of the signal, etc., and which DAQ you have. More information is necessary to allow us to help you determine what might be needed.

Hi all

The Sensor specification are:

Type 8152B1… covers 50 ... 400kHz

Power required  from 5 --- 36 v

Constant Current mA  3 ----- 6

This sensor will be mounted on cutting tool holder to monitor the vibration level resulted from the interaction between the wrokpiece and the cutting tool.  from there i want to find out if i can attached directly to the DAQ PCI - 6014 and then the data collected will be stored directly to a local Database (MySQL). so if you have any advice please let me know if i can attache this sensor directly to the DAQ.
