Workspace : Numeric control/Indicator format not saved

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

Using VS 2013, I'm not able to maintain numeric format of a Medium Numeric.

Numeric Format Setting

  • Open and run the example project Sinewave Delay
  • On the workspace, right-click on a numeric indicator to open the Edit Item dialog box
  • Go to the Format & Precision tab, set Format to an other value that Decimal (Engineering here), click OK.
  • Save (File » Save) and Exit the Workspace
  • Run again the project
  • On the workspace, right-click on a numeric indicator to open the Edit Item dialog box
  • Go to the Format & Precision tab : Format value is Decimal (not the previously set value)

I don't believe that's the expected behavior (also tested with VS2012). This is also true for Controls.

Did I make something wrong? Is this a bug? Am I the only one to have this issue?

Best regards,

Hey Matheiu,

This is definitely a bug. It should not function that way.

We have the issue tracked internally as CAR#449833. Keep an eye out for that number in the Bug Fix section of upcoming patch/version releases readme's (similar to this). We should hopefully get it addressed soon!
