"Waiting for 'Begin Normal Operation' message " appears in resman but nothing happens

Hi all,

I have the following problem:

I have a configured vme-mxi 2 device that was used last year to access a vme bus.

Now when I try running resource manager it starts and gives:

Waiting for 'Begin Normal Operation' message

but then it stalls and stays like that forever, as if the mxi-2 bus was unattached.

What could it be?
