about PXI 2535 unlimited connection

One of PXI 2535 characteristic is unlimited connection. I'd like to know that if many channels are connected to one line, e.g. c0:100->r0;(no action mode) for many minutes, whether any damage will bring to PXI 2535?

Thanks

Hi 小木虫,

The PXI-2535 is spec'd to simultaneously drive all 544 switches continuously without damage.

Hope this helps!

The PXI-2535 can close all channels simultaneously but the switching limit of 100mA per channel path needs to be observed.

For example with c0:100->r0;(no action mode) the total current coming out of pin r0 should not exceed the 100mA spec.

I have another question about unlimited connection of 2535: how many channels could be increased and  totally driven by 2535, 136*2 or more?

Thanks

Hi 小木虫 ,

What do you mean by "increased"?  You can drive all the FETs on each PXI-2535.

If my answer does not help, can you rephrase the question?  Thanks!

Hi,Chad Erickson,

What I want to say is that whether two or more PXI 2535 could be used in PXI 1033 (to increase chaneel number)? In the menu of 2535, another 2535 module could be connected to the first one. Then I think whether a third one could be used in the 1033?

Thanks

Hello 小木虫 :

For the PXI-2535, you can connect a third PXI-2535 by 'ROWS 0-3 OUT' of the previous module to the 'ROWS 0-3 IN' of the next module and still be able to close all crosspoints on all PXI-2535 modules.

For example:   Connecting two modules gives you a 4x272 matrix, three modules a 4x408 matrix, and so on.

Hi, Chad Erickson or Steven,

Whether connection between rows could be made?  For example, ro->r1?

 Best regards

Hi,

I have another question:  in a scan list, ";" means a measurement would be done. I'd like to know that under no action mode whether several channels could be connected to the same row and wait several min (no measurement) and then do other measurement?   For example: c0:19->r0 (wait some time) and then do other measurement according scan list.

    Best regards

Hi 小木虫,

Connections between rows can be made, but you will use a column.  For example, to connect r0 to r1, you may create the following two connections:

r0->c0 and r1->c0
