6V 1A method for measuring contact/path resistance?

I see this method mentioned repeateadly, can someone explain it or point me to a document that describes it?

I am not sure as to the specific method you are mentioning.  Where have you seen it?  Maybe this is just a guidline on values to use?

 

The important thing here is that we have a high current so that we can accurately measure the relatively low resistance.

I have noticed in the data sheets for some of the relays listed as replacements in the relay replacement section of Switch Help.

I have looked though multiple documents and still have not been able to find a reference to this.  Can you please provide a link to one of the documents you are refering to?  If you are refering to a specification on a specific relay I suggest you contact that manufacturer.
