I experience unstable communication with my eurotherm controllers when using the Nport 5450.
Everything is setup as TCP/IP communication so I use one IP address and different ports to talk to different controllers.
On random occasions loss of communication or CRC failure occurs. In some cases the software manages to reconnect in others one gets a permanent error 63 when TCP Open connection is used.
Has anyone used Nport in the TCP/IP configurationa and exeperienced such behaviour?
It is a long shot, but I have seen that one can run it in "Real COM mode" and one uses COM ports instead of TCP/IP. That requires Nport configuration software to be installed on a PC and I assume that is not possible on cRIO?
