Power Electronics Teaching Tools - a collaboration between NI and OPAL-RT

National Instruments has been working with OPAL-RT to bring a new class of teaching tools to the market for power electronics education.  Using industry-standard hardware and software, students will have courseware modules and exercises that take them through the basic concepts of DC-DC conversion and AC-DC conversion using myRIO for control and CompactRIO for plant simulation.  Additionally, the courseware is open and extendable so that educators can build on the out-of-the-box experience to customize the lab.

The attached slides walk briefly through the details of the product and and link to an evaluation of the software.

For more information, you can review a recent joint webinar presenting the tools.  Also take a look at the product pages on the NI and OPAL-RT websites.
