Hi, I am working with a PXIe 8881 already configured with a RT application and all modules etc working just fine.
For safety reasons, we want to back-up this installation so that in case of a disk failure or a PXI failure we will be able to redeploy the solution. For this purpose, we have a spare PXI disk, same reference as the one it incorporates.
Thanks to a Acronis 2021 USB device we duplicated the original disk from the PXI, we then unmounted the PXI unit and changed the configured disk with the spare one, and tried restoring/redploying the application on it thanks to the USB device. The spare disk gets formated but then when booting on it, we are not able to boot correctly, we get a "fail to initialize ptp-kvm" and we get stuck there.
We switched the disk again to mount the original one and it boots corectly. The same 'error' message appears but it continues to boot properly right after.
Are we doing something wrong ? Looking on NI websites I found this page https://www.ni.com/docs/fr-FR/bundle/labwindows-cvi-real-time-module/page/cvirtmodulehelp/backingres... but I still want to understand why changing disks with a duplicated one won't work.
Thanks for any information on this !
