PXI 4353 differential measurement?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I have the PXI 4353 DAQ card and would like to record temperature using TC4353 and thermocouples. Does the measurement system measure the voltage differentially so that I can also attach the thermocouple to conductive, grounded materials. I can't read anything from the datasheet unfortunately.

Hi,

I looked a bit into it and found a nice link:

Connecting Thermocouple Signals to a DAQ Device - National Instruments (ni.com)

All NI thermocouple measurements are differential, so you should be able to ground it, just make sure to have a resistor in there.

Also, I am quite interested in knowing why you are looking to ground your thermocouple.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I checked it out and it works out for me, so i think it should be a differential measurement.
