Can't power up laptop when ExpressCard-8360 is connected

I can't power up my laptop when the expresscard is connected. I am using PXI-8360 ExpressCard with my Dell Vostro 1000 (BIOS 2.6.2

running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP 2) connected to NI PXI-1033 chassis with NI PXI-6220 in slot 2. I installed NI-DAQmx 8.7.1. and NI PXI Platform Services Version 2.4.1 Please help. Thanks.

Hi baf,

1. Please check to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your laptop.

2. PXI Platform services 2.5.1 is avilable.  Please install that.

3. Please try powering up the laptop with the card inside but not having the chassis on.  Will it boot up?
