Can the NI Step Types Be Edited?

For example, I'd like to set NI_Flow_If.TS.NoResult = True, but TestStand won't let me edit the type. Is there some method for editing the type so that If statements by default does not Record Results?

I'm aware that you can create custom step types. I simply just want to tweek an attribute on some step types that ship with TestStand, but TestStand isn't letting me do that. So my question is, is there a way to do that?

On most types that ship the answer is no.

Even if you can, you shouldn't though.

So basically, nope. Sounds like the Step Templates is the best solution. Thanks.

Yes for something like this where you generally don't want to change the functionality of the step type, but just want some different default setting, then templates are the way to go. You can customize the step type part of the insertion palette to hide the flow control steps from there in order to avoid confusion.
