Hi Arturo,

In th RF Database, all the tunnel diodes are fabricated on Germanium substrates. In these links you can find the datasheets from their manufacturers:

http://www.aeroflex.com/ams/metelics/micro-metelics-prods-TD-MBD.cfm

http://store.americanmicrosemiconductor.com/1n3712.html

If you want to use a specific component that you have the SPICE model of, there is always the option of building your own component.

Hope this helps,

Mahmoud,

Is there a tutorial for building germanium diodes or a database I can download?  I've tried to build one but it isn't operating the way it's supposed to.

Hi Arturo,

Here are some tutorials where you can actually build a Diode Model to match the parameters of your device.

Hope they help

Hello, Damien,

Have you got a working model for a tunnel diode for Multisim? if so, would you like share your information with me. I am also trying to build a tunnel diode model in Multisim, so that I can build a simple circuit with a tunnel diode and simulate it with Multisim?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi Zhigang Xiao

I suggest you to create a new thread with this issue. This forum is very old and in order to manage and organize database it would be great to have a new discussion forum.

Regards.
