wait for front panel activity

I have used the 'wait for front panel activity' function on my vi. This function seems to work ok unless I do not initiate any front panel activity (mouse clicks) for longer than about 10 seconds. If I wait longer than 10 seconds then click on the mouse the LabView program crashes; LabView quickly closes, a quick text message appears on the screen about windows driver which disappears before it can be fully read, then the notebook PC reboots. I am using a pentium 1.73GHz, 504MB ram, Windows XP service pack 2. In my program I am using LabView 7.1, two USB Daqs 6507 to send data from my front panel when switches are operated.

Any idea what could be the cause?

Hi Steve,

I've tested this out with a simple vi to see if I can reproduce the behaviour you've seen, but the vi I have runs fine without erroring or crashing LabVIEW.

Can you post the vi you have that shows this behaviour as it could be attributed to different things.

If you post the vi then I'll take a look at this and see if I can suggest anything

Regards
