I am using a NI DAQPad-6015, which I am using to sample one analog input channel. I have connected an external clock to PFI0 and am using this to control the sampling rate. I would like to also control the execution of a timed loop using this external clock, in order to synchronize the analog data acquisition and data from another source (obtained through software -- and updated around 500 Hz).
However, when I run the external clock at 200 Hz or more the data isn't synchronized. In fact when looking at samples from the timed loop that are 200 points apart, the time value corresponding to them is about 1.8 seconds apart, whereas they should be only 1 second apart. This leads me to believe that controlling a timed loop with an external source is not very accurate.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
