pcmcia 6025

Hi all,

I'm looking for a PCMCIA card with same functions as PCI 6025E! I found PCMCIA 6024E, but there is no possibility for buffered DIO operations! (I need atleast 8 buffered DO line.) Other alternatives? Which card should I use?

George,

the PCI-6025E doesn't provide buffered DIO operations, too but it provides a handshake mode. Are you looking for handshaking or clocked DIO operations?
The DAQCard-6533 provides both operation modes but it's a mere digital I/O board. If you are looking for a multifunction DAQ device with clocked DIO lines you could have a look at USB devices like the NI USB-6251 or a modular cDAQ device. The latter option provides direct connectivity to a big range of industrial signal types.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Hi Jochen,

I'm looking for a multifunction DAQ, but it seems to me there is no pcmcia card in the NI product-palette which is equivalent with PCI 6025E.
Currently I'm using the PCI 6025E with 16 channels AI acquisition, and 8 channels buffered DO pattern generator with "handshake trick" (GPCTR looped back as handshake signal, so I can control the frequency of the DO operation this way). "Buffered" I wrote, because I can use this pattern generator with data-buffer, but only with 82C55 DIO control. The standard digital IO port (like in 6023E and 6024E cards) is not suitable for this method.
All in all, I need a pcmcia board with 16 AI channels with atleast 200 kS/s rate and 8 clocked (or handshaked) DO line.
USB-6251 seems to be good, but it is USB...

George,

PCMCIA is quite close to obsolescence and we haven't developed new products for this interface type for a while. At NI we have focused on USB for mobile solutions as it provides much better performance and higher measurement quality (form factor!) than PCMCIA.
Unfortunately we can't provide a PCMCIA based solution for your needs.
