continuous pulse train generation and frequency/duty cycle changed on the fly (USB-6251)

I works with USB6251 and need to use a counter to generate continuous pulse train to control the speed of a motor. I have read NI-DAQmx Pulse Width Modulator and roughly know how to do it, but my concern is, will there be any delay or idle state after I changed the frequency and/or duty cycle with DAQmxSetCOPulseFreq and DAQmxSetCOPulseDutyCyc, which could cause speed jitter that we don't want to see.
