Voltage Overload of 9215?

Hi,

I'm looking to take a voltage reading of a varying 5-11v signal using an NI 9215. This module is +/-10v, will a voltage input of 11v damage the module? Or just show an incorrect reading? I could use a voltage divider, but I'd rather keep things as simple as possible.

Also is there a maximum current for the input on the unit?

I'm trying to set up some dummy inputs to test a measurement system, but we've just lost our electronics engineer who previously dealt with this type of thing.

there is a +/- 30V protection with the NI 9215 card.
