Use M-Series DAQ with software supporting only NI-DAQ 6.9.1

I am using a software in my test system that only supports devices compatible with NI-DAQ 6.9.1. My preferred DAQ-device is an M-series card mit NI-DAQmx. Is there any possibility to use this card with my software? I only want to read and set digital lines and to read analog ins.

as you can see here, the M-Series only work with NI-DAQmx: http://www.ni.com/support/daq/versions_pci_pxi.htm

There are Copatibility VI's, which allow you to use Trad.DAQ VIs with new DAQmx devices (http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/9D67F671BCC6850586256E630059308B) but you can't use a DAQmx device (like the M-Series) with older driver.

since I am not using LabView I cannot use compatibility VIs. Is there also a toolset of compatibility functions in c++ for this?
