Type of 68 pin connector on PCI 6221 board?

Please tell the type of 68 pin small connector on PCI-6221 DAQ board. To it can be connected NI`s "SHC68-68-EPM" cable, but I need to make self made cable to connect my device to DAQ board, but I can't find the type of 68pin connector Smiley Sad

Eovein,

all M-Series products use a 68pin VHDCI (Very High density Micro Centronics)- Connector - have a look into the specifications manuals p. 9 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371290d.pdf).
Thought, connectors and backshell kits should be available be several electronic suppliers, but be careful, when you design a cable. The SHC68-68-EPM (btw: EPM stands for Enhanced Performance M- Series) is especially designed for this boards in respect of impedance, shielding, twisting and proper connector resistance ....etc. to carry the signals properly. Have a look at this great tutorial "Field wiring and noise considerations for analog signals": http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/01F147E156A1BE15862568650057DF15

Hope this helps. Good luck,

Stefan Smiley Happy

The PCI-6221 is also available with a 37-pin DSUB connector (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/202004). Making a cable for this connector may be easier.
