Hello,
I am new to temperature measurement. I wanted to know if we absolutely need Labview for visualisation of the tempertaure measured at the DAQ or the DAQ itself can be connected to a PC to see the measured values of temperature.
Thanks

binmeh,
DAQmx comes with NI MAX, which you can use to see quick measurements in Test Panels without a programming environment.
There are multiple ways of performing data acquisitions depending on the hardware you have:

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
A DAQ platform such as "Model: NI-9213 Part Number: 785185-02", if i buy, will come with installation media such as CD for Labview also ? Or we have to get Labview seperately?
Thanks

Check out the NI USB-TC01. For ~$120 you can view and log to disk without needing LabVIEW. The drivers and programs are built into it.

I recently started using FlexLogger (my company wouldn't spring for LabVIEW right out of the gate) and have used it multiple times for temperature logging. I have a 1-slot and 4-slot cDAQ system and the NI-9211 card for thermocouple usage and it's worked great. It takes less than 15 minutes to have everything setup and going.
I definitely recommend looking into FlexLogger if LabVIEW is out of the question.
