SCXI 1600 direct channel access

Hi all,
I am trying to access channels directly from an SCXI 1600 USB device with an SCXI 1180 feedthrough module and a 1302 connector box. However, I do not know how to access the channels, and cannot set up the connector box or feedthrough panel in MAX. I am using NI-DAQ 7.4 and LABView 7.1 on a Windows XP platform.
Could someone please tell me how I can access or set up a channel to measure for instance voltage with this setup? It was bought as a package from NI and therefore I assume that it should be possible without too much complication. I have used PCMCIA 6024E and AT-MIO-16E cards before and had no problems accessing channels, but because I can't see the channels in MAX when I use the 1600 USB setup, I don't know where to look for them.

hello Charel,

as you can read in the DAQ readme (C:\Programme\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\readme.html) your SCXI-1600 device is only supported by the new NI-DAQmx driver.
for this you have to look for your device in the MAX under DAQmx devices.
