Installing an AT-MIO-16E-10 board on Windows XP

Hello,

I have installed a legacy AT-MIO-16E-10 board on a Windows XP workstation.  When I click the Test Resources button I get a "The device is not responding to the first DMA channel" error.  I found a very old post on this forum referencing a similar issue:

https://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Device-not-responding-to-the-first-DMA-channel/td-p/99350...

Unfortunately, the KB article referenced in that post is no longer online.

Does anyone have an archive of that link, or know how to manually configure these settings?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi @jewelenzyme,

AT-MIO-16 boards do not work correctly on newer computers with a bus speed of 100 MHz or faster.
The boards will respond correctly if they are used in a computer with a slower bus. You will need to either downgrade to a slower computer, or upgrade to a new board that is capable of handling faster bus speeds.

The AT-MIO-16 boards were replaced by the E-Series family of data acquisition boards many years ago. E-Series boards were then replaced by M-Series boards, which have since been replaced by X-Series boards.
