In what kind applications is E series 6031 used.

In what kind applications is E series 6031 used? The description of the card E series 6031 says it is self calibarating. How is this feature useful and what are the other advantages of 6031. Anyone using 6031, please let me know the kind of operation performed using E series 6031.

The following basic operations can be performed on 6031

• Analog input
• Analog output
• Counter
• timer
• Digital input/output.

Plus you can also measure SCXI modules using this E Series board in either parallel or multiplexed mode

The links were really useful. So according to my understanding 6031 are used when precision analog i/p and output are required. Can u let me know the kind of applications 6031 is used, any examples?

What exactly are you trying to determine? In another post, you asked about the 6031 vs the M series. The M series boards are recomended for new purchase but if you have a 6031, go ahead and use it. There are LabVIEW and CVI shipping examples for using DAQmx to program the 6031 or M series boards. If you have a specific application for which you want to use a DAQ board, then why don't you list the requirements for the application and someone can tell you whether the board will be suitable.
