Creeping current while generating 2 PWM signals and one DC AO with the NI USB-6259 possible?

Hello there!

I would like to use the USB-6259 to generate two independent PWM signals using the two counters of the device and send them to two of the four available anolog outputs. Additionially I would like to use the third AO to generate a variable DC output.

Now I would just like to now if I have to fear any creeping currents that might destroy me PWM signal or if everything should be fine doing it this way?

here is Dominik from the AE's in Munich. 

Which USB 6259 device do you use. Can you give me the full marking?

Hi Dominik,

it's the modul 779628-04 with the two connectors which you can see in the 6th picture of the other views.

There is also a small update on the signal output:

Of course I won't use the AO for the PWM signal but instead I will simply send the counter outputs to two PFIs, thus the only AO will be the one for the set point of the PID-controller.

Additionally there will be now an AI from a massflow counter which has a range of 4 - 20 mA.

Hi Kamil, 

 

The AI is oparated with 5 - 10V. The maximum voltage and currents which are allowed are described in the specifications of your target.

 

Attached i send you a tutorial for generating PWM with LabVIEW. Perhaps it would be better when you use the national instruments examples in LabVIEW. You can find it under Help-> Find example. 

 

Pherhaps it would be better when you send your programmed code when you have problems.
