100-Pin Right Angle PWB Mounting Connector Drawing

Could you provide a dimensional drawing of the 100 pin right angle PWB mounting connector (777778-01)?  I found a drawing for the 68 pin version, but I could not find one for the 100 pin connector.

Thanks.

Hi jrs2,

See the following KnowledgeBase article:

Specifications and Manufacturers for Board Mating Connectors

The part you are interested in is actually manufactured by AMP (part 787169-9).  The AMP website will have more detailed specs on that specific part, and they should have the dimensional drawing you are looking for.

Thanks,

Hi RawoChip,

If there is a specific NI product that uses the 100-pin male connector you are referring to I'd be more than happy to find the part number for it. If not, then I suggest that you contact AMP via their website in order to find out more information on the part in question.

Best regards,

I bought the connectors 787169-9 but I need the jackpopots or screwlocks to secure the cable to the connector. The jackpot or screwlock should be a female #2 and male 4-40. I try to find the part number and manufacturer for this item.

Hi RawoChip,

I'm sorry but I'm still unclear on this issue. Are the parts that you are searching for included in any NI products? If so which ones? I'd be happy to help you find the part number and manufacturer if given this information. The connector that you have is made by AMP so they could be a good resource as well.
Best regards,

The screwlocks are using to secure the cable to connector.

I found the part number for the Screwlock or Jackpost for the 100 Pin connector. The part number is 749087-2, Tyco is the manufacturer. I bought the screwlocks from Digikey. You can use the same screwlocks for the 68 pin connector 2-174225-5.

I was wrong about the jackpost for the 68 pin connector "Tyco P/N 2-174225-5" or NI 777600-01. Who knows the part number and manufacturer for the Jackposts?

Hi RawoChip_,

If you are referring to the jackscrews that connect from the cable to the jacksockets on the PCB mounting connectors (NI 777600-01), these should have come with the cable you purchased.  For example, if you look here at the blue end of the cable, the jackscrews would be the two long screws on either side of the connector.  Currently, we don't have a part number for you to purchase them seperately from the cable.  However, I would highly recommend calling in to our technical sales representatives (1-888-280-7645).  They would be able to assist you better in obtaining these jackscrews.

If you are referring to the jacksockets, I would take a look at the following thread found here.  This thread discussed how to go about obtaining the jacksockets for the 100 pin and 68 pin cables.

I hope this helps,
Paul C.

I believe that National Instruments sells a jacksocket kit that contains jacksockets that screw into the 68 pin or 100 pin PCB connectors.  The NI cable jackscrews screw into these jacksockets.  This jacksocket kit has a manufacturing part number of 187949A-01 and a catalog number of 187949-01.
