typedef vs strict typedef

What is the difference between a typedef and a strict typedef?

And in the interest of teaching to fish, where would I find this information? I haven't been able to find any information about typedefs in the PDF files that came with LabView.

Try the Labview help.

Type "strict type definitions" and "type definitions".

It is quite clear. If you need further help repost.

That's what I get for searching for typedef.  LabView is not C.
