rs 232 prog not working in any other computer other than the computer which it is coded!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote a program that communicates through a serial port and it worked fine on my computer at my desk (which runs Windows xp) and the executable of that program is not at all working in any other computers. how to solve this?

Did your program use VISA?  If so, are the VISA drivers included with the executable.  I think they are needed as well as the run-time engine.

1. No communications?
2. Error messages?

Probably no error handling included...  debugging executables without error handling is "learning by DBOING" the hard way.

The most likely problem is that you do not have the NI-VISA run time engine installed:

hey thanks for replying to me....

 The problem was that i havnt installed NI-VISA  run time engine.And now ,as i have installed this am able to select my com port and the prog is running superb......
