imaq extract buffer availabilty

I would like to take 4 images in a row (continuous mode). I then use the VI imaq extract after initialising with IMAQ configure list and IMAQ configure buffer... it seems that the VI imaq extract buffer hasn't time to take some images and so it takes two images on the same buffer and then overwrites on this buffer. So instead of having 4 different images in 4 different buffers i have 2 different images in 2 different buffer.

If i put a wait time just before and longer han the acquisition time, it works and 4 different images are saved in the 4 buffer. But i loose a lot a time by doing that so it's not convenient for me.

Does anyone have any advice concerning the use of imaq extract buffer? thank you
