Windows message queue library for LV8.5

Hello all,

I need to use the windows message queue library found here

I am using LV8.5 and it doesn't want to load the library because the VIs are saved pre v5.0

If someone could help me with a newer version or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Hi Wimpie,

Thanks for contacting National Instruments.  Opening VIs in 8.5 that were originally saved in version 5.0 is a little harder than it seems as you have found out.  LabVIEW 8.5 can open VIs that were saved in versions all the way back to 6.0.  I have saved all of these VIs from the library up to version 8.5, but keep in mind that there have been many changes in LabVIEW as well as Windows from when LabVIEW 6.0 was used to develop these VIs, so you may still encounter some difficulties.  I have also saved the files individually, so you can put them into a .llb file if you choose, but that is up to you.  I have also attached a few links below that provide some useful information for you when writing DLLs to interact with Windows.  I hope some of this helps and good luck!
