Customer in Japan reported that our LabVIEW driver refuse to work with
Japanese version of LabVIEW+Windows. Driver controls device connected to
serial port and successful works in english version. Driver sends simple
ascii messages to device. Problems occur when message should contain
backslash \ . It seems that device gets different messages in different
language versions. Even in VI string constants backslash is shown as yen
sign. This may be windows problem not LabVIEW. DOS version of control
program does not work too. But in DOS there is possibility to switch to
english version. Any ideas of what it might be?
