LV 8.6 SE upgrade

Hello,

Forgive me if this is posted in the wrong forum, I looked all over the NI web page for the answer. I have LabVIEW 8.6 Student Edition and I am wondering if there is an upgrade path using my student license, to be more specific is there a newer SE edition and if so am I entitled to an upgrade.

Ajmartin,

Unless you have a service plan that includes software upgrades your only option for getting the latest version of the software is to repurchase it.  It is unlikely you have such a service plan as it is not included with the student edition by default and most people with the student version do not purchase this.  However many school and universities have volume licenses with upgrade plans which are available to students, so I would check with your school or university before repurchasing.
