Interesting... LV 2021 Community Edition only available as x64?

Just like the subject says... LV 2021 Community Edition only available as x64?

I would think it's not so surprising. All other platforms (MacOSX and Linux) are 64-bit only since several versions. The Community Edition has little legacy conditions like LabVIEW FPGA and realtime, and supporting the Lynx Toolkit only for one version makes things also easier.

I agree that it would be easier to support, but the decision was surprising since the 2020 Community Edition was 32-bit only.

I think they messed up the installation links - again.  The download page says 64-bit, but the name of the download suggests it's really x86 - and the download attempt fails because it can't find the page.

Very possible and probably more likely. The move to x64 doesn't make a lot of sense since the old Community Edition was only 32-bit. That would create a lot of upgrade problems from people using 3rd party software in their programs.

I just wonder why they can't seem to push new updates to a website without breaking a lot of things for a few days. I'm sure there are some very good web designers out there, but the unsexy work of testing that everything actually works is also part of the job description.

I agree.  I'm tired of hearing "Okay, I think it's fixed, try it now."  Or "Here's the direct link to the file."

Please say this is NOT SO!

The vast majority of LabVIEW tool kits are still 32 bit only!

It seems that even though the software page says 64 bit (and doesn't let you change), clicking on "Download" bring you to a page where it tries to download the (assumed, because it has "x86" in the name) 32-bit version.  But when the download commences, it brings you to a "page not found" dialog.  Same with clicking the "if the downlad did not automatically start" link.

I think they messed up the link, probably the "64 bit" non-choice made it look in the wrong place so it could not find the Community Edition to download.

Edit:

Oops, you snooze, you lose.  Thanks for the update!
