That makes no sense. You provided an RS-232 specification and any attempt to use some sort of audio adapter seems like a complete waste of time. There would be no need to use the VISA driver wizard. As mentioned, we all believe you need to adapt the wiring from the port on the instrument to a regular RS-232 connection.
Can you post an electronic copy of the instrument manual or give a link to it?
