Creating sub-vi

Hi all, I am just starting with labview

A simple but tricky question, al least for me.  I am trying to create a simple sub-vi, with the part of the code of my program selected I go to edit menu and the option create a sub-vi is unselectable. Anyone knows why? Any solution?

You need to select/mark the code from the block diagram from which you want to create a sub VI.

Alternatively, create a new VI and insert it into the calling VI.
