ACPI serial Port not getting detected

For one of our application we need to use serial Port in ACPI mode. When we set the ACPI driver for the port

1. Device Manager shows COM1 Port

2. one third Party Application (not wriiten in LabVIEW) also runs Fine with this Port

3. Max or LabVIEW VISA control do not show COM1 Port (However if Com Port is normal then LabVIEW shows the Port)

How can i resolve this issue

Hi,

A few things that poped up in my mind.

1. Is there a USB to serial or some sort of converter?  If so, it may fall under another catagory.  If you have a USB to serial, your device may fall under USB.

2. Sometime, not haven't the latest MAX will give you a problem.

3. Try right clicking on "Devices and Interfaces" and add device, and see can you add whatever that you have connected to your computer to MAX.
